r <br />�� <br />January 10, 1985 <br />Virginia Leonard <br />6729 - 180th Street S.E. <br />Snohomish WA 98290 <br />Dear Ms. Leonard: <br />'t <br />ciiv or <br />everett <br />At your request this department has lnspected the property located at <br />6328 West Beech, Everett, Washington. <br />The following defects must be corrected before we can certify that <br />th15 structure meets the minimum requirements of the Uniform Housing <br />Code: <br />1. In 1961 the structure was built as a single family residence <br />based on City of Everett 8uilding Permit No. B13036 dated <br />August 11, 1961. Since that time the structure has been <br />converted into a duplex by converting the full basement into <br />a separate dwelling unit. Conversion of a single family <br />dwelling into a duplex requires building permits and <br />inspections. <br />2. Due to the structure being converted into a duplex, the <br />additional electrical wiring, plumbin9 and dwelling unit <br />are considered illegal. <br />3. All escape or rescue windows from sleeping rooms shall have <br />a minimum net clear opening of 5.7 square feet. The minimum <br />net clear opening height dimension shall be 24 inches. The <br />minimum net clear opening width dimension shall be 20 inches. <br />Where windows are provided as a means of egress or rescue <br />they shall have a finished sill height not more than 44 <br />inches above the floor. <br />information on building permits to accomplish this work may be obtained <br />from the Building Inspection Division, 259-8745, and all correctior,s <br />� <br />-r <br />
