CITY OF EVERETT <br />Ordinance No. 773-g� <br />Swimming Pool Enclosure <br />On April 8, 1981, the Everett City Council passed Ordinance No. 773-81 <br />requiring all public and private outdoor pools to be enclosed with a <br />fence and gate of sufficient design and strength to keep out small <br />children. <br />Hot tubs and spas equipped with locking covers and which are kept <br />locked when not in use shall not -,�quire enclosure. <br />All fences may not exceed the height requir•ements for fences as is set <br />forth in EMC 19.42.020: <br />A. Fences with a maximum height of forty-two inches are <br />permitted on any property line; <br />f�. Fences with a maximum height of seventy-two inches are <br />permitted anywhere in the rear or side yards provided <br />that any fence with a height greater than forty-two <br />inches shall be ten feet or more from the principal <br />building on any adjoining lot; <br />C. Fences with a height greater than forty-two in�hes <br />are prohibited in the front yard. <br />In no event shall said fence measure less than forty-two (42) inches <br />in height. <br />All pe rniits for the required work shall be obtained from the City of <br />Everett Quilding �epartment.
