Due to the <br />ebsence o[ en adequate fence, the pool is eccessible to the children in your <br />neighbo�hood. <br />On April B, 1981, the Everett Clty Council passed en ordinance requiring ell pools <br />24 inches or more In depth, to be enclosed. The pool is to be enclosed with e fence <br />and gates ot suftietent design end st�ength to keep out small children. (1 have <br />enclosed a copy of the ordinence for you� into�mation.) <br />Apperently there is a fence around you� backyerd et th(s time. The problem is that <br />the fence hes deteriorated to the point where it is not o[ suffic[ent design and <br />st�ength to keep out small children. <br />The City's Zoning En[orcement Officer hes been out to yout res(dence. She has <br />told the lady living in the residence of the Clty's conce�ns as well ea the <br />requirementa o[ the ordinance. Despite that, it is our understending that the fence <br />hae not been repai�ed or �eplaced, end still remains fn the same unsteble condition. <br />Mr. Mizell, tailure to comply with lhe requirements of the ordinance constitutes a <br />misdemeanor. The City is certainly willing to work with you tn gettP.ig this matter <br />resolved.
