The costs <br /> to connect, including construction and monthly sewer service charges, <br /> will be borne by the property owner. <br /> A review of existing records indicates that your property is not <br /> connected to the public sewer system. Our records also indicate that <br /> your property fronts on, or is within, 150 feet of an existing public <br /> sanitary sewer. I have enclosed an excerpt from our sanitary sewer <br /> chart indicating the proximity of your �roperty to a public sanitary <br /> sewer system. <br /> You are being notified by this letter to connect to the public sewer. <br /> In the event you do not wish to connect to the sewer the City Engineer ! <br /> may, on written request from the property owner, extend the time to <br /> connect to the public sewer for a period of up to five (5) years if <br /> the foll.owing condition is met. The existing sewage system shall be <br /> inspected by the Snohomish Health District at the pronerty owner's � <br /> expense and a written certification shall be submitted to the Public � <br /> Works Department indicating that the existing septic system is I <br /> acceptable to the Snohomish Health District and will function for at <br /> least five (5) years. The Snohomish Health District can be contacted <br /> at 339-5270. � <br /> Everett Municipal Code further establishes that all properties within <br /> 150 feet of an available public sanitary sewer, who fail to connect � <br /> after notice by the Ci�y, shall pay to t-he City an amount equal to the I <br /> sewer service charges established for other users of like kind.
