Demolition
has begun on the buildings on the southwestera portion of the property.
Assorted vehicles in various states of disreF.sir are still to be fouiid on the
premises. Used automob3le tires and xheels are piled in froat of the motel
units on the north side.
Used ranges and other odds and ends of appliances are scatt?re3 about the prop-
erty. The area Where demolition has taY.en pJ.ace is littered with boards and
shingles with nails sticking up. Collectively, conditions are such that fire
fighting would be additionally difficult and dar.gerous should s fire occur.
Children were observed pinying on the property in question. The conditions
described above present a very real hizard to the children of the neighborhood.
For all intents and purposes, tte fire Hezard and safety hszard conditio:ic on
this proPerty has not changed to an appreciable degree, other than vacating
and shutting off of electricity. The vacant and unaecured buildings are sub-
,ject to the malicious setting of fires and the boards and nails scattered about
are a potential source of serious inJury. All of these conditions are in
violation of ECC 7.04.060, uet as they have been for neerly three years. It
would seem that Mr. Finke has had sufficient ti.me to comply.

I
