1120 Broadway <br /> Robert Finke <br /> � On piay 11, 1970 �ae received a co�plaint of a zoning violation at 11?0 <br /> Bro�dway. T11is complaint was in regards to several buses that were stcred <br /> there and being of£ered for sale. The owner, blr. Robert Finke was <br /> notified of this p�-oblem cn May 13, 1970. :•1r. Finke has only made a <br /> token effort to so'_ve this problem and 'nas moved buses on and off the lot <br /> several times since. <br /> The Everett Plumbiny Inspector made a .routine insoection oE the .+iotel <br /> Complex on August 19, 1970 and notifie3 Mr. Finke of �everal plumbing <br /> violations. An Electrical inspection was made on February 7, 1971 by the <br /> City Electrical Inspector. The owner was notified of several electrical <br /> problems also. Mr. Finke made no attempt to correct these deficiencies. <br /> A joint inspection of the Motel was made on February 11, 1971 by the <br /> Snohomish County Health Department, The Everett Fire fdarsha]., and the <br /> Everett Building Department. A list of violations was made available to <br /> Mr. Finke. <br /> The Electrical Inspector made a re-inspection on February 7, 1372 and <br /> found the service drops lying on the roof. <br /> ' , Th� State pf Washington made an inspection of the Motel on September <br /> 12, 1972 and rejected Mr. Finkes state license. <br /> The Everett Fire Marshal cited several violations of the Fire Code on <br /> Octobei 18, 1972. <br /> A r.e-•inspection by the Plumbing In�pector on November 13, 1972 r�•vea_ed <br /> tttat there had been no repairs made and that the units were further <br /> deteriorated. <br /> On October 20, 1972 a letter was mailed to Mr. Finke in regards to <br /> violations of the zoning ordinance; specifically, junk autos on his sales <br /> lot. <br /> A correction letter caas mailed to Mr. Finke on December 5, 1972 directing <br /> him to repair tlie property. There was no response to this letter. <br /> A notice of unsafe building was issued to Mr. Finke on February 28 , 1973 <br /> which al:so directed repair of the property. This notice was unheeded. <br /> The matter was referred to the City Council on May 30, 19%3, and ihe <br /> Motel was ordered vacated and repaired. .Notice oi the Council Order was <br /> delivered to Mr. Finke on Diay 31, 1973. <br /> The Fire Department responded to a fire in the south complex �n September <br /> 3, 1973. There was approximately $1,OOO. 0 damage to the structure and <br /> injury to one fireman. <br /> � <br /> � Although Mr. Finke has made several trips to City Hall to gain information <br /> relative to the r�pair of the property he has not applied for a permit <br /> to repair nur has he made any repairs. <br /> �. ---....�_.�_.- __ <br /> �.4 ` <br /> II <br />
