Detailed drawings in accordance with City Design and <br /> Construction Standards shall be submitted to the Public Wo�-ks <br /> Department .�howing site parking layout, landscaping, utilitias, I <br /> storm d:ainage, temporary construction erosion control, and <br /> all required improvements in the public right-of-way. Public I <br /> Works Department approval of these drawings is required prior <br /> to any permits being issued. All improvements shall be <br /> completed, approved, and warranted before the Occupancy Permit <br /> is issued. <br /> 2. City etreets and alleys are to be kept clear of dirt and debris <br /> at al] times during construction. Dust suppression and street <br /> cleaning must occur as directed by the Public Works Inspector. <br /> 3. The premises and motel urits must be clearly identified and the <br /> address must be visible from the street to facilitate emergency <br /> response. <br /> 4. 'ihe Police Department has the following security <br /> re�ommendations: <br /> a. The perimeter doors should be solid core kith 190 degree to <br /> 220 deqree wicle angle viewers and single cylinder deadbolts <br /> with 1 inch throw and at least 3 inch screws securing the <br /> striker plate. Each unit snould also be provided with <br /> insiae chains or bolt locks secured with 3 inch screws or <br /> screws as long as possible. <br /> b. Ground orindows should have double type locking devices. <br /> c. The mote:l key system should be one that can be changed for <br /> each occupant or be a combination key-in-knob and single <br /> cylinder deadbolt lock where the tumblers can be easily <br /> changed when keys are not returned. <br /> d. The reception area should be located so the receptionist can <br /> see the parking lots or video c�mera should be provided in <br /> the parking lot Yor receptionist observation. <br /> e. Monitored armed robbery or panic button alarms syst.em should <br /> be provided for the lobby receptionist. <br /> f. Combination safes in each room will add an additional three <br /> to five 3ollars per room to pay for cost and installation <br /> and then profit. <br /> g. Lighting of the parki�g lot should be a minimum of 1-2 foot <br /> can3les. <br /> h. During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick <br /> Thornberry, Crime Prevention Officer at 259-0416 for <br /> further security recommendations. <br />
