This was done to reduce the frequent change in
sound level, which cai be disturbtng.
On November 20, 1972, we cunstructed a sound baffle to
further confine the equipment noise to the machine room.
There are certain limitations on the baffling that had to be
maintained, in as much as it is necessary that air be allowed
to enter and leave the room for cooling of the e uipment.
If we had completely enclosed the room, it would have been
necessary to provide mechanical exhaust fans, which would
have introduced sound,
The air conditioning unit on the roof was also contributing
to the sound level as a result of the deterioration of L•he
bearings and shaft assembly. These items were changed on
November 17, 1972 to reduce the sound level of this equipment.
Prior to the time we assumed the service of your account,
mufflers had been installed on the refrigeration units, •
which initially reduced the sound level of this equipment.
Discussions were held regarding the advisability of L-aking
sound level measurements before and after, making the above
described modification; however, it was decided that the
problem taas relatively routine and that routine procedures
would solve it.
Should you have any additional questions or require further
information, please give me a call.
Very truly yours,
HILL R-E G RATION
• J e,-,a.._.-e'  ''r '::

Don Davidson, Branch Manager „qy,,,.,
;:'i
 THE BEST IN FOOD 6TORE REFRI6ERATION Vz' ;, „ _
DD/pd :.;,,;.. ;~,: .. ..,.
