An inspecCion of the property, on DecemUer 14, 1973, revcaled several scrious viclations of the Uniform Housing Code, ie: open waste line, lcalcing rooP, standing water in thc basement, open wiring� broken windows and siding, ceiling covering falling off, and a water cross-connection. The building was open eo tlie puUlic and readily accessible to Cransients. The ltouse was poeted as "Unlawful to Occupy" on December 14, 1973 and a correc�ion latter wa> mailed to the owner cn �ecember 17, 1973. Tax records show that L-he rcal estate taxes have not been paid for the years 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973. Tlie water service to the properL-y was int_rupted on DecemUer 17, 1973. On December 20, 1973 a salesman from Duce Realty Ccleplioned and want•ed the water service restored as lie liad a tenant for tlie property. Tliis request was refused. Another party clainung to be a renter also madc a request to the Water Department to have the service restored. The strucL-ure was reposl-ed and the occupanl- was notified at 4:30 p.m, llecemUer 20, 1973. Ogden met with Ken Callal�an on DecemUer 21, 1973 to discuss the necessary repairs. The contractor st'ated thac he l�ad Ueen instructed to repair everything that is necessary.
