. . . . . . . . . .
Erosion cocul measures should be impkmented during all stages of coastnution to ensure tLat
sedimem-laden waters do not leave this site. These measures might include but are not be
limited to the folbwing:
• From October 1 to April 30, no soils may rertain exposed for aare ttan 2 days. From May 1
to September 30,no soil may remain exposed for more than 7 days.
• Materials, equipment, and other resources shall be on site nt all times, in adequate quazrtities
to immediately stabilize all soil.
• Denuded areas shall be Govered by mulch, sod, plastic,or otlet BMP's as per the City of
Evereri's tormwater Management manual.
• Soil stockpiles shall be stabilized or protected with sediment retentan BMPs within 24 hours
of formation to prevent soil loss.
• Grading and cocstruction shall be timed and conducted in stages to minimie soil exposure.
• The contractor shall establish a permanent vegetative ground cover to cornrol soil erosan
and to survive severe weatter conditions on all areas of land disturbance not othenvise
permanently stabilized by impen7ous surfaces ot othr.r means.
• The contractor shall maiutain and repair as tecessary atl temporary and pernianent emsion
and sodimentation control BMPs to assure tkeir continued perfomiance through consttudion
acceptance and extending to the release of all associated wananty security and mauitenance
security.
• Before performing any grading or clearing, the contractor shall mark, in the field, the limits
of all proposed clearing and grading, critical areas and the'v buffers, trees to be retained, and
drainage courses.
• The contractor shall protect storm sewer inlets receiving storm water runoffduring
construction so that water will not enter the inlet without first being 6ltered or othenvise
treated to minimize the amount of sediment entering the inlet.
The contractor shall route storm water nuaff from disturbed areas of the site through
sediment ponds, traps or other sediment retention BrdPs prior to discharge from the site. Tt►e
BN[Ps shall be installed as the first step in grading, and shall be in operatan before any other
site disturbance occurs
• The contractor shall preservc a vegetated buffer strip around the lower perimeter of the site.
. The wntractor shall design and construct temporary and permanent BMPs adequate to
prevent erosion of outlets, adjacent stream banks, slopes and downstream reaches.
• The contractor shall implement fully the erosion and sedimentation contml plan at each stage
of site development.
4
