The most efficient types of sweepers, such as regenerative air cleaners or vacuum sweepers, should be used. Methods To Maximize Sweeping Efficiency- I. Multiple passes should be roade. Generally speaking, ocx:pass can remove 50%of available solids,two passes provide 75%removal. 2. The frequency of sweeping private streets and pazking areas with high pollutant badings should be increased, particularly in industrial areas. Weekly cleaning of private strcets will provide more removal efficiency; less frequent sweeping will accomPlish little. 3. Vacuum or regenerative air sweepers are the most effective in removing the small Particles most associated with pollutants. 4, Operators should be trained to attain maximum sweeper performance• SweePer speed,brush adjustment and rotation rate, sweeping pattern, maneuvering around pazked vehicles, interim storage and disposal methods all affect pollutant removal. � ��//
