April 3, 2013 <br /> President Moore invited public comment. <br /> Katrina Lindahl, Everett, spoke in support of the proposed ordinance. <br /> Laurie Ummel, Everett, expressed concern that this is an untested <br /> process and suggested that the city council add a process for review in a <br /> year or so to see how it actually works. <br /> Allan Giffen, Planning, stated that he would be happy to report back on <br /> this issue whenever the council members request it. <br /> Gail Chism, Everett, suggested that the notification process for tree <br /> cutting or trimming should be broadened to include more residents. <br /> Paul Dennis, Everett, stated that he has been involved in this process and <br /> spoke in support of the proposed ordinance. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested that Allan Giffen come back with a <br /> review in one year. <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Bader, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO. 1303-12 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 and Section 6 of <br /> Ordinance No. 2909-06, Critical Areas (EMC 19.37) concerning <br /> Pruning and Removal of Non-Hazardous Trees in critical area <br /> buffers outside of Shoreline Jurisdiction, and amending <br /> 100 <br />
