The Everett Municipal Code requires that cemeteries be developed <br /> with a Special Property Use Permit. Sectfon 19.58.020 (B) of the <br /> Zoning Code requirea that Special Property Uses must meet three <br /> criteria: <br /> Com�atibilitv. The proposed use must be reasonrably compatible <br /> with other uses and potential uses within the general area in <br /> which the use is to be located. <br /> Environmentnl I�oact. •The use must not heve serious adverse <br /> effects on the environment of the community. <br /> Public Need. On Mnrch 21, 1988, the Hearinq Examiner issued a <br /> decision to deny the requeat tor a Spacial Property Use Permit. <br /> 4. On March �1 , 1988, the 1lpplicnnt requeated thnt the Hersring <br /> Exaoinar reconsider his decision. <br /> 5. On l�pril 15, 1988, the Hearinq Exeminer issued a decisio.� to deny <br /> reconsideration. <br /> ci. On �pril 27, 1988 the Applicant submitted an appenl of the <br /> Nearing Examiner'a decision. <br /> 7. City Council ia reeponsibie for hearing and decidinq appeala of <br /> Hearinq Examiner decision. <br /> 8. On June 8, 1988, a public meetinq was held by the Everett City <br /> Council. !,t that meetinq, Council found that errors in fact or <br /> errors in��law may e:sist and set a public hearing to hear the <br /> appeal. <br /> 9. On June 28, 1988 a public hearinq waa held by City Council to <br /> hear the appeal. Testifying on behalf of the City was Na::y <br /> Cunninqham, Associate Planner.
