That the existence of other crematorium services in Lhe City, by qrantinq the permi� will assure that said service6 may be mare competitive. d. Pursuant to the provisions of EMC 19.58.O10.C. 2 , a Special Property Uee Permit is requirad for tha proposal. 2. The appeal ia an appeal of th� Hearing Examiner'a decision which denied the Speoial Property Use Permit. The Heering Examiner concluded that tha Applicant could seet the critesia of compatibility and e!nvironmental impact, bit did not show that the use would meet the public need criterin. 3 . At the public hearinq on June 28, l988 , the City Council found that the crematorium will serve the pub: ' c convenience and necessity. DBCISION The City Council reverses the Hearing Examiner's Conclusion N6 , reverses the Hearing Examiner's decision, and directs spproval of SPU �2-88 subject to the conditions recommended by the Planning Department, Which are as follows: 1 .
