Sandee Little
6009 Broadway Ave#C
Everett, WA 98203
February 22, 2001 ( 6 Q D
i
Public Works ie pt L, F E B 2 6 20 1
3200 Cedar St
Everett, WA 98201 _ ... ._. .. ............
CITY OF EVERETT
Attn: Peul McKee [npinearinplPublic Services
Dear Sir:
Attached iS a copy of the sewer map for my property. I recently had trees cut on
the west side of my property so the roots would not intertere with the sewer line.
At that time I found the sewer manhole cover as shown on the map. It was under
the trees and I had no idea it was there.
I had originally planned to put a small retaining wall on my property line and
backfill with dirt so that I could plant Pyramidal scrubs along Broadway Ave to
give a buffer between my building and the street. Upon finding the manhol6
cover I cannot do this on my property line or I would cover up the manhole cover.
I would like written permission to put up a retaining wall on city property on the
west side of the manhole cover made out of decorative blocks up to a maximum
cf ihie feet as drawn in red on the attached map. This will allow the city free
access to the manhole cover and I will be able to make a level yard space for my
building. The root structure of the Pyramidal sc,ubs is only 2 to 3 feet so they will
not interfere with the sewer line. Because of the slope of the land it will give root
structure to the slope and help guard against erosion.
I would also like to add one more parking space on the west side of my building
for my tenants. This is also drawn on the map in red. This parlcing space would
be entirely on my property. The owner of 6003 and myself will have to resurface
our driveway this summer and at that time I would like to have the extra paricing
space done in asphalt at that time. Could I please get permission for that also?
Please inform me what I need to do formally to obtain permission for the above.
Cordially,
`G!(l'i
r
Sandee I_ittle
