Water heater storage tank labeled as meeting ASHRAE standard 90A - <br />1980 or insulated to R-16. <br />5. Water heater storage tank must be placed on an R-10 pad if located <br />over uninsulated or concrete floors. <br />6. Insulate hot and cold waterpipes to R-3 1n unheated areas. <br />7. All plumbing, electrical and HVAC penetrations in floors, wall and <br />ceilings are caulked and sealed. <br />2. Where penetrations need a firestop, discuss with your building <br />department. <br />3. Electrical outlet and light switch boxes on exterior walls must be <br />sealed at the back of the receptical or sealed with face plate gaskets. <br />4.
