'I'hc boring was donc using a track mountcd drill rig using an 8-inch diamcter <br />augcr. 'I'hc boring was drillcd to a refusal dcpth of 2G'/: fcct. <br />Whcrc possiblc, slandard pcnctralion tcsts (S'fP) wcrc conductcd during thc drilling and soil <br />smnplcs �+crc collcctcd at 5-foot intcrvals using a 6 inch diametcr cathcad utilizing two aTaps of <br />a rapc. "I�hc S71' consists of driving a two inch diamcicr (O.D.) split-spoon samplcr with a 140 <br />pound hammcr falling frccly for 30 inchcs. 'fhc samplcr is lowcrcd to thc bottom of thc drill <br />holc and the nwnbcr of blows rccordcd fiu cach of the thrcc successive incrcments of six inches <br />penetratian.
