The purpose <br />of the shed is to cover our existing sand stockpile to kerp it dry for winter highway <br />sanding operations. This prc�ject will not cause any changes in our existir.g <br />operations. <br />The building site is currendy a paved stockpile area whidi is sloped al six percent. <br />To prepare a level building site, we �+�ill excavate 2,950 cubic yards of soil. The <br />maximwn exca��ation depth �vill be eigi�t feet. Approximately 1,500 cubic yards of <br />soil will be hauled to a WSllOT pit site or uther approvrd location and the rest <br />will be uscd to backfill the building foundation wall. The foundation will be <br />constructed using interlocking conerete blochs (2.5'w x 2.5'h x 5' long) which will <br />be stacked ten fcet high and backfilled on the exterior to a height of approximately <br />eight teeL A"pre-engineered" steel trussed fabrircovered structure will be bolted <br />to the block foundation. The interior o( the shed will be paved and minimally <br />lighted. No other improvements are planned. <br />We are applying for the (ullowing permits: <br />1.) ,radii�*, nr, rmit- To ailow 2,450 cubic yards of cxcavation & grading, <br />installation of drainag�� stnictures and re-paving of all <br />disttu•bed ar�>as. <br />2.) Buildiny�pennit- To construct a ten-(oot high concrete block foundation <br />wall and additional sc��en and on�-hilf foot high bulk <br />storag�� walls, and lu errct �� fabriC-cu�'errd steel truss <br />structure. <br />3.) I:lectrical permit- To relocate one hvenl�' �unp vard-lighling circuit and add <br />an additional tc��ent�� amp circuit. <br />
