Where such systems are
installed, they shall be in accordance with the applicable Uniform
Fire Code Standards or Standards of the National Fire Protection
Association when the Uniform Fire Code Standards do not app.ly."
Findings in support of this action include the following:
1. Numerous parties are exposed to property loss from a fire
involving a single building.
2. Construction typically utilized incorporates no fire rated
separations between individual units or corridors. Often there
is no separation at upper levels where heat, flane, smoke and
gases concentrate.
3. There is no effective method available to prevent stosage of
flammable liquids, highly combus:ible or explosive materials,
or hazardous chemicals.
s ,
` ,;
..
:

w ,
 ;
