Broadway, issued 11/16/10 <br />Ken Sutton, the pastor, was under the impression that the city wouid desi9n the van accessible parking spot <br />location and accessible route to the building for him, required as part of a change of use to a church, based on <br />his t�keaway from a feasiEility meeting discussion earlier this year. <br />• The issued permit drewings for 81011-005 do not include a van accessible space or sidewalk <br />modifications for the required accessible route. I gave Ken Sutton, the pastor, the attached change of <br />use checklist and handout for parking access to assist him prepare a revised site plan to submit for <br />review, prior to scheduling inspections, at no additional cost. <br />A policy change occurred in Odober, between the time we met with Ken in feasibility review aroi before the <br />permit was issued: Public Works will be reviewing parking lot layouts for change ofuse, alony with the <br />Building, Planning and Traffic Uepartments, to make sure that the appropriate parking and accessible route is <br />being provided, where the drawings are designed by the applicant as part of the permit submittal. <br />To assist the permit technicians communicate these requirements to the public, please advise if you have any <br />revisions to attached checklist and handc�at.
