COMMERCIAL TENANT IMPROVEMENT CHECKLIST <br />PERMIT SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: <br />1. Special use reviews (SEPA, etc.) if required, must be completed prior to permit <br />submittal <br />2. Two complete sets of bullding plans that include site plans <br />3. One set of requtred documentation i.e. engineering calculations, lighting <br />budget, etc. <br />4. Completed Permit Appifcation <br />5. Plan check fee <br />6. All documents must be clearly legible for microfilming <br />NOTE — Applications are accepted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM only <br />The following requirements apply to tenant improvements that do not include additions or <br />increasing the existing floor area. For additions, the checklist for new structures must be followed. <br />A. Include a code data section on the coversheet to indicate the occupancy classi(ications, <br />type of construction and occupanl loads. <br />B. Indicate on the plans whether or not the building has an existing, monitored sprinkler andlor <br />fire alarm system. <br />C. All tenant improvemenls that occur within a building of 4,000 square feet or larger are <br />required to be sealed by an architect currently licensed by the State of Washington (RCW <br />18.08). <br />D. Floor plans with complete dimensions. Indicate the proposed use o( each space. Show all <br />exit doors, stairs, corridors, etc. <br />E. New wall sections showing construction and assembly ratings if required. <br />F. New or revised toilet room pians to include interior elevations, wall and floor finishes, <br />mounting heights and clearances and accessibility details (if required). <br />G. Door, window (relile), room finish and hardware schedules. <br />H. Revised lighting plan and energy code analysis. <br />I.
