GLASS AND GLAZING SECTION 08 81 00 - 1 <br />PART1 GENERAL <br />1 SUMMARY <br />A. Section includes requirements for shop and field glazing ot lraoies. doors and openings <br />throughout the Project. <br />Install glazing gaskets furnished by other Sections. <br />B. Section OB 44 14 Fire Rated Framing <br />C. De�inilio�s: <br />Hazardous Loca:ions: WAC 51-50 Section 2406.3. <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product Data: Required for each product to be incorporated into the Work. <br />[3. Samples: Two samples 12 inches by 12 inches oi each glass type and complete assembly <br />required (or the Work. <br />Guardrail Glazing: Demonstrate finished edge and arris treatment complying with required <br />bevel•11at-bevel profile. <br />C. Certificates: Document that giazing materials furnished comply with Project requirements. <br />Glass manufacturer's certification for assembly compatibility wi�h sealants specitied as <br />work ol Section 07 92 C0. <br />3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Contraclor responsibility to provide Work complying with contract requirements shall not be <br />altered by statements made in referenced standards and documents. <br />i. Flat Glass Marketing Association Glazing Manual. <br />2. Satety Glazing Slandard: Comply with ANSI Z97.1 and testing requirements oi 16 CFR <br />Part 1201 for category II materials. <br />3. Insulating Glass Certitication: Permanently mark units with Insulating Glass Certitication <br />Council, or Associated Laboratories, Inc. label. <br />B. Fabricator and Installer �ualitications: Ten years successful experience with fabrication and <br />installation as appropriale of glazing work similar in malerial, design, and extent to that <br />required for this Project. When direcled provide records of representative work including <br />warranty and in-service pertormance of previous work. <br />t. Glaziers for this Project: Cerlitied under ihe National Glass Association, Glazier <br />Certification Program as Level 2(Senior Glaziers) or Level 3(Master Glaziers). <br />2.
