Campus Standard Basis of Design: Products of 2.'/90 Sign Systerns Unicor 2/90 Modular Thin <br />and Plaque signs as required are the basis oi design products. <br />1. Overall th�ckness 9/32 inch. <br />2. Room signs shall have extruded aluminum top rail, nominal three inch top and tour <br />inch bottom with rail joiner, Korad clad A8S inserts to match campus standard; "SL <br />Slimline" extruded clear anodized aluminum endcaps; and "Smartstrip" roller catch <br />clear anodized extruded aluminum bottom trim with black end caps. <br />3. Tactile and Braille copy shall be photo-etched and laminated to the insert tace in one <br />piece. Individually applied characters and Braille strips are not allowed. Type face <br />shall be Helvetica Regular unless othenvise noted or required by code. <br />4. Two custom colors to malch Architect's sample. <br />5. Nominal size to be 6 inches by 6 inches. <br />B. Code Signs: "Solid Plaques Plus" with similar tarming components to match room sign, above. <br />No bottom trim required <br />PART 3EXECUTIO� <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A. Verification of Conditions: Examine ihe areas to receive the Work and the conditions under <br />which ihe Work would be pertormed and verity conditions arc acceptable; provide correction ot <br />unacceptable conditions as necessary to permit installation. <br />B. Final Location o( Signs: As directed for instailation melhods and elevations similar to <br />comparable signage in other Campus surface parking lots at lhe College. <br />3.2 INSTALLATION <br />A. Set work accurately tor location, alignment and elevation, plumb, level and true, as measured <br />irom eslablished reference points and (rom other Work already in place. Fit componenls <br />accurately together to form tigM joints and secure connections <br />D. Mechanically attach signs to supporting sur(aces iree irom distortion and de(ects in <br />appearance. Mount with concealed fasteners and as othenvise necessary to comply with <br />Campus Signage standards. <br />C Neatly repair minor blemishes or marring on iinished suriaces so that repairs are <br />imperceptible.
