A representative of ESNW <br /> was on•site on November 24-25 and December 11-12 to obaerve repafrs made at the northeast <br /> corner of the bullding and the adjacent access road. The subject development consists of a <br /> single-story warehouse building constructad utilizing continuous spread footines and t11t-up <br /> panels. <br /> ESNW was notified on October 6, 2008 of settlement that occurred at the northeast corner of <br /> t7�e building. The observed slgns of settlament included fractures and spallinp of tho eastom <br /> and northom t11t-up panels at the panel connaCUon po(nts. The fractures and spalling wore <br /> associated wlth the down sat of the footing at the northeast comer of the building, In addition to <br /> sottlement in the building, lension cracke and fracturing of tha cement troated soil in the access <br /> road immediately adjacent to the building at the northeast comer were also observed. <br /> On Octobar 17, 2008, a represontative of �SNW obsorved three borings drilled adjacent to the <br /> area of the building affected by settlement. Two of the borings were located within two to three <br /> feet of the footing and one boring was located approximately ten to twelve feet from the fooUng, <br /> The borings noarest lhe footing encountered a zone of very loose fill at depths of approxlmately <br /> fivo to nine foot bolow the ground suriace. <br /> Bulldina Footina 3011 Reoair <br /> The repair of thc� footing subgrado was achioved through the employment af Uretek synthetic <br /> polyurethane inJection.
