MFD needs to ensure the radios are correctly programmed and has asked the City of Everett
Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) to check the radio frequencies on each radio, as MFD does not have a Radio
Technician on staff to perform this work. Estimated inspection time per radio is between .50 and .75 hours
for a total of approximately 94 hours at a rate of$74.00 per hour. Most of the work will be performed at the
MVD Maintenance Shop. This work will be spread over a six-month period as the 800 mhz systems are
brought on line though out the county. MVD will bill MFD on a monthly basis to recoup the cost of
inspection.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign a Communication Equipment Repair and
Maintenance Agreement between the City of Everett and the Marysville Fire District.
RLh/A1/090104/MSVL FD Interlocal
