Dear Mr. Ingalsbe : APPLICATION FOR PLAN'�'ING DIRECTOR APPROVAL OF EXPANSION OF BOEING SUBSTATION Attached is a completed Planning Director Approval Application for planned construction work at Boeing Substation. Hoeing Substation, which provides electric service to the 747/767 plant, is a 200 by 180 foot fenced facility located in the east portion of the piant . The District has an easement from Boeing to place and operate electrical equipment in this facility. Because of increased electrical reliability and capacity requirements the District is planning to install additional electrical equipment inside the substation. This will require that a 40 by 60 foot enlargement of the existing fenced area on the southwest corner of the substation be made. Boeing will prepare the 90 by 60 foot site, expand the fence and construct a gravel driveway while the District will install the electrical facilities in the new portion of the site. A 16 by 24 by 12 foot high metal control buildinq will be located in the expanded portion of the station. It will contain the electrical controls and protective relays for the substation equipment . The fence for the new 90 b�� 60 foot addition will � match the existinq eight-foot high chain link fence topped with one foot of barbed wire. Several concrete slabs will be poured in the existing substation for supporting power circuit breakers and' � equipment stands.
