When this happens we have to start our procedures all
over again. Because of this beiny so repetitive, I make weekly inspections of
the area.
On December 27, 1°80 the house located at 2812 Cedar had an extensive fire in
it and on Feb. 2, 1981 the o•rner took out a demolition permit on the house.
Demolition aid clearing has been slow but work is continuing. According
to the Unlform Buildig Code, as long as the owner does not a6andone the
work described on the issued permit, the permit remains valid and we do
not iterfere.
I have been in contact with the owner several times by phone and by ma!1
requestinq that he clear the erea more rapidly because it is a hazard to
the children playing in the tlock.
w uldebeedlfficultrtontake abatementtprocadureseatnthis time with9the1ermit t
remaining valid.
The individual calling in the complaints refused tio listen to anytliing I try to
explain pertaining to this entire matter. He yells and is very obnoxious to
the uoint where I have hung up o him.
Councilman Dale Pope has also received several phone calls from this individual
and is aware of the situation.
I would like very much to explain to the complaintant the legalities involved
and the work nvolved in this matter, Nowever, it would take a formal meeting
with hime 1n order to get him to listen to us and even then it would be
effortsnof1theSPoliceeDepartment,1dealthPDepartment anAtthis departmenate the
,,..,
 , :: ,   ,: :-

,mnnY ' i n. tivri,i" . t , ': N I'r I' l;vrii)n. SNId1711N15N1
 ,, . nitf, . ,..nit „ix . ui,r , rv .i.:, . _
. .,ili lN3dIJll1 I'.Iu1iH -`I1 i
1
