We !
were unaware that there mTy be restricCions on minor inprovements to the property ;
ad3oining our parking lot. Our thoughts were to improve the esthetics and
possibly add a little to our off street parking, without any ma,or costs. ;
For your reference, we have attached a copy of a print of our parkiny lot
marked up to illustrate what we were attempting to do.
I
Briefly, remove an old house found8tion wM ch was about 18" belav grade
and consists of less than 1 ,000 sq. ft. of area. Scrape the sod off the
front portion of the 1ot and level off a pronounced crown at the south
center portion of our existing 1ot, wh9ch has built up after a period of
time from contractors dumping surplus dirt and concrete. Probably the
most recent depeits was made by the contractors who remodeled the City's
Cedar facilities and dumped large surplus concrete mixer loads on the
property without our knowing it.
As our drawing indcates the amount of work we planned to do was minlmum.
AS to the status of the 25' lot improvements. we have stopped work.
However, as we mentioned on the telephone, we mdy do some minor planting.
Ms. Strong, the purpose of our letter was to develop a formai document
opposing the proposed improvements to Cedar. We also. oppose the forming of an _
L.I.D. ard/cr ary other means requiriny the property owners to pay for improv- .
ments promoted by special interest groups.
PACIFIC TECHNICAL CENTER `
P.O.
