This investigation was <br /> conducted for Karl Biringcr who proviJed written authoriwtion to proceed on August 29, 2005. <br /> 1.1 Purpoae <br /> The purpose of this investigation was to determine the various soil profile components, the <br /> engineering characteristics of the foundation materiels and to provide criteria for use by the <br /> design engineers and architects in preparing or verifying the suitabiliry of the foundetion desigr�. <br /> 1.2 Scope <br /> As dctailed in our proposal for geotechnical services dated August 19, 2005 the scope of se�vices <br /> included: <br /> • Subsurface explorotion <br /> • Test PiLs <br /> • D�namic cone penetrometer tests <br /> • Recovery of disturbed grab samples <br /> • Laboratory testing consisting of. <br /> • Atterberg Limits <br /> • GTadation analysis <br /> • Moisture content determination <br /> • Geotechnical Report containing: <br /> • Subsurface soil wnditions <br /> • Groundwaterconditions <br /> • Allowable bearing capacity of soil <br /> • Settlement estimates <br /> • Gcading recommendations <br /> • Poundation recommendutions <br /> Wc wcre not requested to provide an Environmental Site Assessment for this property.
