Footing selback should meet the requiremrnts of IBC 2003 Satio.i
I805, Figure 1805.3.1.
4. Footings should be proportioned to meet the stated bearing capacity and/or the IBC 2003
minimum requirements. [nterior or isolated column footing should be a minimum of 24"
wide. Continuous strip footings should be a minimum of 16"wide.
5. Isolated exterior end perimeter footings should be buried a minimum of 18 inches;
interior footings should be buried a minimum of 12 inches.
6. Total settlement oF footings instelled as recommended ebove wiil be limited to 1 inch
with differential scttlement limited to'/.inch.
8. Footing drains should be used to displace scesonal water from the bearing soil level. The
drains should consist uf 4" diemeter perforated pipe, surrounded by drain rock, wrapped
in a filter geotextile and havinq a sufficient gradient to displace water away from the
structure end directed to en eppropriate outfall as shown in the footing drain details,
atteched.
