Humphries , deceased Dear Mr. Royce : We have received your notification that property held in the above estate located at 2915 Chestnut Avenue, Everett, Washington , has been classified as a public nuisance and a dangerous building . I have previously discussed the situation with Mrs . Humphries and Mr. Budden of your department. We propose the following to remedy the present situation and remove your classification : ( 1 ) Removal of the small brick addition on the North side of the main building. Visual inspection reveals that the East wall of this addition is severely buckled and we feel demolition would be less costly than attempts to rehabilitate the facility. (2 ) Removal of the marquee on the front of the building and securing all entrance to the building on the first level to prevent entrance by transients and unauthorized people . (3) Repair of the eaves on the main building to prevent fur- ther water overflow over the rear of the building down to the railroad spur. I will appreciate your review of the above proposals and inform- ing us as to whether these moves would result in the removal of classification as to public nuisance and dangerous structure.
