I — Statue Repoct Background: In September 1987, Marian Payne coatacted Burling[on Northern regarding the poor conditions present on this property. A le[ter was received from John C. Maher from Glacier Park Company on October 6, 1987, etating that III the building Would be diepoeed of or the property vould be leaeed rith the condition that the building be cleaned up and the hazardoua conditione removed by the neW leseee. Ou April 19, 1988, ,L received a letter from Mr. Leanard Reichlin of Rivereide Roof. Inc. etating that they had leased the building and property and that their Leaee required them to clean up the property. Some time eubeequent to the receipt of Lhie letter, the file for this etructure was shifted to the � Building Divieion, ae it wae determined that commercial and induetrial � buildiag abatement was the Building Official'e reeponsibili[y. Current etatuet I inepected the property on April 2B, 1989, and took eeveral � photographa (see enclosed). Tlie etructure remaina much ae it did in 1987, ezcept perhapa there ie a greater accumulation of trash and �unk around the building. There does aot appear to have been any effort on the part of the owner or leseee to aecure thie building or to take any action to remove the etructure, with the eaception of the poating of a couple of emall "No li Trespaesing" eigne. I met with Tim Tyler today to diecuea thie structure, which he eaid was hie Number 1 priority for abatement. So action ehould be forthcoming in the near future. In the meantime, I will be contacting the owner and leasee in respect to all the junk arotmd the place, clting the minimum maintenance otdinance and jogging their memoriee about their letter promiaing correction of this problem. cc: Jim Langue Tio Tyler Bob Landles 06045
