Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Meyor Moore and all councilmen were in attendance. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held June 25, 1986 were approved as printed <br /> with Councilman Niva and Overstreet absta.ining Prom vating. <br /> MRYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Moore saitl he had spoken to the Flre Chief regartling the use <br /> af dangerous Pireworks. They are �oing to police this and will <br /> enforce the ordinance. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Stephanson said [he council had amended an agreement with <br /> the Chamber of Commerce for an additional E15,000 Por an audio video <br /> presentation. He said the question is whose responsibility is it <br /> far this process, the Chamber or the city. He said all taurism and <br /> promotional activities has been done through the chamber. Last week <br /> there was a question on the video presentation, as to who was <br /> respansible. He said when he moved for reconsideration last week <br /> he had no intent to stop the contract, but ,just to clarify the whole <br /> process by having the Chamber of Commerce people here today to <br /> discuss this. <br /> Councilmen Niva said the proposal was brought to the Council Budget <br /> Commlttee for permission to prepare an audio video show along �vith a <br /> pro�ect already in process. She felt the committee and the <br /> councll's declsion ta approve this contract was matle in good faith. <br /> Councilman Pope agreed and asked if all cantracts were handled in <br /> the same manner, payment upon receivinq invoices and the Mayor <br /> replietl this was true. <br /> President Gipson Pelt bringing this back Por discussion was making <br /> i everyone uncomfortable and the discussion was after the Pact. <br /> Councllman Stephanson said he would withdraw the motion he made at <br /> last week' s meeting regarding this if the second would agree and <br /> Councilman Pope said he would withdraw his secontl. <br /> President Gipson said this would end the discussion on this item. <br /> Councilman Overstreet thanked the council Por their support while he <br /> was the leqislative tlelegate to AWC and also during his term as <br />� President. <br /> Councilman Niva complimented Councilman Overstreet on his ability in <br /> handling the meetings at the AWC conPerence in Seattle. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> Presldent Glpson asketl the City Clerk to reatl two let[ers from Joyce <br /> Ebert regarding the Laurel Slide discussion.
