Between Grid Unea 9 and 10 the 100' roof trusses on Lines P, <br /> P.5 and R are difterent from the typical trusses on Llnes P, P.5 and R. <br /> The:� truete� appear to be somewhat stronger than the typical truuas on <br /> LJns� P, P.5 and R and no calculatlons appear to have been provided for <br /> tht�� non-rypical trusaes. We presume these trusses were provided to <br /> acComodate higher gravity loads In this area due to crane maintenance <br /> bay operatlont. <br /> 1) Roof Trusses RT-18 & RT-19 werA sized for the Crane Maintenance Bey <br /> loads (possible 3 carriers with one carrier loaded) plus a 2-1/2 ton <br /> maintenence hoist above the carriers. Calculatians for these roof trusses <br /> are enclosed. <br /> 2 - RFS160T. It seems sectlon E/RFS500 should be cut looking at Line P <br /> rather than at Line P.5. <br /> 2) Section E/RFS500 is located as intended but should be marked as <br /> 'similar'. This will be added on the next revision. <br /> 3 - Sheet S211. Detall 1/S818 Is called out for the connectlona of the <br /> horizont�l struts to the wfnd columns at the locatlons of future crana <br /> cro��overs. Thls det�il does not eeem to brace the multi-atory wind , <br /> column�, C-7a and C-7b, adequately for lateral torsional buckling. We � <br /> suqps�t dlagonal column tlange bracing member be provided from th• , <br /> Instda flange end of the column stittener plates to the struts for torslonN <br /> resistancs. The connectlons and member atresses should be checked for <br /> torslonal buckling loads irom references/texts on this subject. <br /> 1 I <br />
