Section 2: The boundaries of the proposed annexation area are described on the attached <br /> Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full. <br /> Section 3: As nearly can be determined in consultation with the Snohomish County <br /> Election Department/Division, there are 353 registered voters residing in the area <br /> proposed for annexation. <br /> Section 4: The zoning for the annexation area shall be determined by the adopted <br /> Comprehensive Plan for the area by the City of Everett. Upon annexation, zoning will be <br /> adopted for the annexation area in zoning categories consistent with the City's <br /> Comprehensive Plan and through zoning classifications which implement the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Section 5: The City of Everett will pay the cost of the annexation election. <br /> Section 6: The area to be annexed shall upon annexation be assessed and taxed at the <br /> same rate and on the same basis as the property of the City of Everett, except for existing <br /> City indebtedness, contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. <br /> Section 7: Upon adoption of this Resolution, the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a <br /> certified copy of the Resolution with the Snohomish County Council and the Snohomish <br /> County Boundary Review Board. <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this 8th day of June , 2005. <br /> Council President <br />
