Mechanical ventilation in the crib shall be designed to provide <br /> for a complete change of air at least six times per hour. <br /> Ventilation shall be continuous or interlocked with the light <br /> switches. Gravity ventilation is required when the mechanical <br /> system is not in operation. <br /> 5. Electrical equipment on the waste side and the storage side sh�ll <br /> be Class I Dfvision 2. Llass I Division 1 electrical equipment <br /> shall be installed within a five foot envelope around the <br /> dispensing bench. <br /> 6. Sprinkler protection on an ordinary hazard pipe schedule system <br /> must be provided within the crib. The sprinklers shall be <br /> supplied from one of the building sprinkler systems. <br /> 7. The purpose of the crib is to establish a "control area". The <br /> "control area" is an area in which to maintain quantities of <br /> virgin and waste flammable and hazardous material below the exempt <br /> amounts as listed in the 1988 Uniform Building and Fire Codes, <br /> virginrand waste�materialtmustYalsotcomplyawithathei1988fUniform <br /> Fire Cade and Boeing Operating Procedure 4-1100-606. <br /> 8. Secondary containment and 20 minute retention of sprinkler <br /> discharge for the crib is not required by either the building or <br /> fire codes as long as exempt quantities are not exceeded. <br /> 9. A schedule of waste collection from the crib areas sha11 be <br /> Ittwillsnot be acceptablettoaallowaaccumulation ofedrumseoutside� � <br /> of the crib. Waste collection pick-up and transfer shall be <br /> reviewed and approved by the Boeing Everett Fire Department. <br /> 10. Removal and collection of waste from mezzanine crib areas must be <br /> studied by Manufacturing. The procedure of waste removal from <br /> these areas must be reviewed and approved by the Boeing Fire <br />� Department. <br /> 12. The 1988 Unifarm Building Code allows a total of four control <br /> areas per building. Due to the size of the individual building <br /> bays, the City of Everett Building Department must be contacted <br /> . �. and an agreement reached relative to the number of allowable <br /> .�`. control areas per bay.
