Per UBC Sec. 506.3(b) under Group B-2 occupancy, we are allowed <br /> unlimlted area if a1 the building is provided with an approved <br /> automatic sprinkler system throughout and b) the building 1s completely <br /> surrounded by publlc way of not less than 60 feet. We meet both of <br /> these criteria and the addition of 4-hour division walls (an <br /> UnderNriters requirement) does not affect our ability to have unlimlted <br /> aree. <br /> 2. Per UFC Sec. 81.109(b) we are required to provide access to the <br /> bullding in each 100 lineal feet. Ne meet Lhis requirement at all <br /> faces of the building except at the west face between column 11nes J <br /> and U (a distance of 250 feet) where storage racks abut the interior <br /> face of the exterior wall . It was agreed that since Fire Department <br /> access at this point in the exterior wall woutd only service one aisle, <br /> it would be acceptable tc provide doors at a point ad,�acent to the ends <br /> of the storage racks and omit any doors between column centerlines J <br /> and U. This w111 require the man Aoor and the roll up door that are <br /> presently located at the end of the racks to swltch so that the man <br /> daor is closest to the end of the rack. <br /> If you havc any comments or concerns with the above mentioned items, please <br /> cantact me as soon as possible.
