Box 3707 Seattle, WA 98124 SUBJECT: OUSTANDING PERMITS E y 5 So g Dear I.conard: In a recent review of Bceing permits still on our shelves in active-permit status, I compiled a list of permits which have had no request for inspection within the last 180 days. Technically, thesc permits are expiring. I would appreciate your assistance in clarifying the status of these : permits. Some are surely finished, and we just need to schedule inspection to document final approvals. Others, if they are for work that is continuing, need either an inspection report documenting progress, or a formal request for extension of the permits so that they do not , expire. The Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expue by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any tune after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. Enclosed in this packet, you wiil find the list of outstanding permits, which inciudes brief descriptions of the work permitted under each, the contractor named on the permit, and the date of the last requested inspection. Also enclosed is a copy of each listed permit and its inspections. 1 am prepared to send a copy of this letter, the list, and the relevant permits and inspections to each contractor.
