Gxisting roof insulation samples indicete an "R" value of 3 - 5 at best. Our current design will add R-15 in the exterior walls above the seven f'oot high concrete sill walls up to the ceiling: R-l5 in the hangar Joors except door pockets and R-19 in the walk-on ceiling cavity. We helieve that this will meet the the intent of the code as it applies ro this type of facility. The existing lighting in this facility will be replaced and is designed to provide a lighting level of 80 FC. The aircraft paint bay has approximately 28,600 syuarc feet with a ceiling height of 46' and 25,800 syuare f'cet with a height of 87'. E3ssed on the painting function the allowahle lighting power level is 2.3 watts per syuare foot plus 2% per foot of ceiling height above 20 feet. This eyuates ro an allownble 3.5 watts per syuarc foot in the low bay and 5.4 for the high bay or an overall average of 4.4 �a:uts per squarc foot over the er'ire tloor area. Our new lighting design with ceiling mounted lights use 1.45 ��atts per syuare foot in thc low t�ay and 3.31 w�lts in thc high hay ur an ovcrall avcragc of 2.3 waUs per syuarc foot.
