Box 3707
Seattle, WA 93124
SUB7ECT: OUSTANDING PERMiTS I; I G€5 `I 7 R Z c'J
Dear L.eonard:
In a recent revicw of Boeing permits still on ouc shelves in activc-permit status, T compiled a
list of permits which have had no request for inspection within the last 180 days. Technically, :
these permits are expiring. I would appreciate your assistance in clarifying die status of these
permits. Some are surely finished, and we just need to schedule inspection to document final
approvals. Oders, if they are for work that is continuing, need either an insection report
documenting progress, or a formal request for extension of the permits so th:,t they do not
expire. The Uniform Building Code provides that all pertnits expae by limitation if the work
authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a
period of 180 days. "`
Enclosed in this packet, you will find the list of outstanding permits, which includes brief
descriptions of the work permitted under each, the contractor named on the permit, and the
date of the last requested inspection. Also enciosed is a copy of each listed permit and its
inspections. I am prepared to send a copy of this letter, the list, and the relevant permiu and
inspections to each contractor.
'fhrough this whole long process of permitting the Boeing expansion, your help with the
permits has been invaluable--your courtesy, especially, has been appreciated! So thank you in
advance for your assistance in either closing out or extending these files.
Sincerely,
h29n P,l
Margaret McLeod
Building Division
cc: Contractors as named on enclosed list.
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Slreet • Everetl, WA 98201 • (206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-8856
