This letter serves as a letter of intent and agteement that PGMC has contracted with Spazling, <br /> Inc. to engineer a new emergency power distribution system that sepazates our emetgency system <br /> into the code required three branches of emergency power. This design work is currently in <br /> progress and we hope to have that complete and estimates done by the middle of October. <br /> Construction would begin immediately. <br /> At this time,we have a construction project going on for our Pediatrics Department on the Eighth <br /> Floor at the Colby Campus. It is this project that has brought to your attention our deficiency in <br /> emergency power. While we fully intend to comply with code, we aze asking you to allow us to <br /> complete construction and allow occupancy azound November 15. While our rework of the <br /> ction. These panels will be <br /> temporarily fed off the old system until the distribution system reaches the Eighth Ploor and is <br /> read for ener ization. We expect to have all the work complete no later than the end of the <br /> Y B <br /> year. <br /> We understood that we needed to write this letter of intent to Labor and Industries and to the City <br /> of Everett,to inform you that PGMC is complying with your re?uest. We hope that under this <br /> basis and our understanding,you will provide a temparary occupancy permit to the Eighth Floor <br /> once construction is complete, until the emergency systems upgrade is complete and you have <br /> approved ihe drawings. <br />
