This letter serves as a letter of intent and agteement that PGMC has contracted with Spazling,
Inc. to engineer a new emergency power distribution system that sepazates our emetgency system
into the code required three branches of emergency power. This design work is currently in
progress and we hope to have that complete and estimates done by the middle of October.
Construction would begin immediately.
At this time,we have a construction project going on for our Pediatrics Department on the Eighth
Floor at the Colby Campus. It is this project that has brought to your attention our deficiency in
emergency power. While we fully intend to comply with code, we aze asking you to allow us to
complete construction and allow occupancy azound November 15. While our rework of the
ction. These panels will be
temporarily fed off the old system until the distribution system reaches the Eighth Ploor and is
read for ener ization. We expect to have all the work complete no later than the end of the
Y B
year.
We understood that we needed to write this letter of intent to Labor and Industries and to the City
of Everett,to inform you that PGMC is complying with your re?uest. We hope that under this
basis and our understanding, you will provide a temparary occupancy permit to the Eighth Floor
once construction is complete, until the emergency systems upgrade is complete and you have
approved ihe drawings.
