3. The Ueams and columns supporting the second level, as well as the joists, are <br /> required to be covered with material approved for one-hour fire-resistive <br /> construction. The door separating the garage from the unitis required to be self- <br /> dosing, tight-fitting and 1 3/8" solid wood (UBC sect. 302.4). •3 oZ. � <br /> 4. The south wall of the singie unit is required to be of one-hour fire resistive <br /> construction due to it's proximiry to the property line (UBC 503.1). <br /> 5. The bedroom at the south end of the single unit does not meet the minimum ro�m <br /> width dimension requirement of 7 feet (UBC 310.6.2). <br /> 6. Smoke detectors are required in accordance with UIIC 310.9.1.3 & 4. / <br /> 7. Stairways and handrails sliall be detailed and dimensioned to show compliance <br /> with UBC section 1006. <br /> 8. At least. one window in each bedroom is required to meet the escape or rescue <br /> requirements of UIIC 310.4. <br /> 9. All view windows and doors shall comply with the 1995 Wa. State Energy Code. <br /> Ptovide proposed U values. <br /> ]0. Plans shall indicate that all exposed cavities between existing studs and <br /> joists(building envelope and garage ceiling) be filled to full depth with batt <br /> insulation. <br /> 11. All bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and similar rooms shall be provided with <br /> source specific ventilation per the Wa. State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality <br /> Code, table 3-I, ducted to the exterior with a discharge point at least 3 feet from <br /> any openings into the building. <br />
