B. Proposed Satelllte Sigoal Repeater Facility
The proposed XM satellite signal repeater facility for this site consists of one(1) 70"tall
omnidirectional (whip) transmit antenna to be mounted on the inside face of the existing
roofiop mechanical screen at a previously approved antenna location;one(1)26"
receive-only satellite dish to be mounted on a non-penetrating rooftop skid at a
previously approved location;and one electrical equipment cabinet to be located inside
the existing mechanical screen on a non-penetrating rooftop skid. Details of the
installation aze shown on the construction drawings submitted with this application.
III. COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL LAND USE REGULATIONS
The Everett Mutual Tower is locted in the B-3 (Central Business District)zone. The
XM antenna co-location proposal was discussed on December 15, 1999 with Dave Tyler
of the City of Everett Dept. of Planning and Community Development. Mr. Tyler
provided LCC with copies of the approved roof site plan and SPU II #3-97. Mr. Tyler
stated that an antenna co-location proposal using the existing preapproved locations
requires a building permit only. Under EMC 41.150(D)(1)(c)(2),co-location of antennas
on an existing structure located in a nonresidential zone at least 300' from residential
zones is reviewable by Everett Review Process I. EMC 42.090(A)provides that Process
I applies to building permit applications, business licenses and sign permits. T'hus,as
stated by Mr. Tyler, this proposal requires a building permit application only.
%3
