' The intent of the ordinance is to help protect the downtown streetscape and encourage economic development in one of the City's important retaii and business centers. This ordinance establishes minimum maintenance requirements for structures in the CBD in an effort to keep lhe streetscape vibrant and attractive. The ordinance becomes effective September 1, 2009. A full copy of the ordinance is enclosed with this letter. An additional letter will be sent in August regarding compliance with this ordinance and how we can best support you in that effort.
