The existing system needs to be replaced as the vendor has ceased providing software <br /> enhancements and support. Proposals were solicited in order to investigate new options available in the <br /> marketplace. <br /> Requests for proposals for a new LIMS were mailed to thirty-seven potential proposers as well as being <br /> advertised in the Herald, Daily Journal of Commerce, at the Urban and Regional Information Systems <br /> Association's website and on our own website. Six proposals were received as follows: <br /> Accelerated Technology Laboratories,West End,NC <br /> Desert Oasis Software Co., Moses Lake WA <br /> Lablite LLC, New Milford CT <br /> PerkinElmer Labworks,Inc., Shelton CT <br /> Promium, Redmond WA <br /> Tammy Youngs/RTS Telecation, Lakewood CO <br /> • The evaluation team which included Information Technology staff, unanimously selected PerkinElmer <br /> Labworks, Inc. as the most advantageous proposal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to negotiate and execute a contract with PerkinElmer Labworks, Inc. who offered the most <br /> advantageous proposal in response to RFP 2003-573 for a LIMS <br /> - 21 <br />
