Millcr, <br /> This letter is in rcgards to your response to our application for construction permit. In your <br /> letter dated Mazch 15, you suggested a ponding study be pedormed to alleviate concem that our <br /> root'does not drain at a minimum slope of'/." per foot as required per UBC 1506.1. The roof <br /> slope is cutrenUy U8"per foot. The roof sttucwral members wete analyzed for the actual roof <br /> dead loads and live loads imposed on them. All members had sufficient strength under 1997 <br /> UBC load combinaticns and meet dead and live load deflection criteria per UBC 1613. The as- <br /> built drawings indicate a camber of 1.5" in glu-lam members, which is sufficient to eliminnte any <br /> long-tertn dcad load detlecdon concerns. Further,the roof has been extensively studied by <br /> myself and Tom Larson of Kumata and Associatcs,and dces not currently accumulate waler in <br /> any sufficient quantiry to give concem. We are further confident in its ability based on its 35 <br /> years of past performance. <br /> We have revised the roof insulation per attached addendum#2 that will raise the�oof R- <br /> value above code minimum as cequested.
