The purpose of <br /> this project is to continue the renovation of the Police Headquarters Building. This renovation will increase <br /> the operational efficiency of the units of the Special Investigations Division by consolidating supervisors and <br /> staff on the same floor, in the same area. The renovation will include asbestos abatement of the spray on <br /> fireproofing,new fireproofing,new ceiling grid and lighting,new carpet, repair and painting of all wall <br /> surfaces; and some minor office construction. The estimated cost of$248,000 will cover the cost of design, <br /> construction, and project costs associated with the Second Floor West Wing. The source of the funds will be <br /> CIP4. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the proposed Ordinance to create the <br /> Downtown Police Headquarters—Second Floor West Wing Remodel Project, Fund 342, Program 008 in the <br /> amount of$248,000.00. The source of the funds will be CIP 4 2 8 <br />
