Expenditure Required $ 268,900 Account Number(s): UP 2993-40 Amount Budgeted $ 1,800,000 Additional Required None DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City Council authorized the Mayor to negotiate a contract with Hoffinan Construction Company to act as the General Contractor/Construction Manager(GC/CM) for the Water Pollution Control Facilities Expansion Phase A. Staff negotiated the Preconstruction Services contract with Hoffman. Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign a Preconstruction Services contract with Hoffman. Staff also recommends that the City Council authorize the Mayor to negotiate a Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC)once the drawings and specifications are approximately 80%complete. RECOMMENDATION Authorize the Mayor to sign the Preconstruction Service contract for the Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion Phase A in the amount of $268,900 with Hoffman Construction Company and authorize the Mayor to negotiate,with this firm, a Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC),when the drawings and specifications are approximately 80%complete. 13
