Expenditure Required $ -119,648.58- Account Number(s): PW 2440 Amount Budgeted $ -119,648.58- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: As part of the 112th Street SE improvement project (3rd Avenue SE to Interstate 5), the City has asked the PUD to relocate their facilities in this area to accommodate the roadway widening. The attached agreement details the PUD's and the City's respective responsibilities pursuant to these utility relocations. As is normally the case, PUD has agreed to perform the relocations at their expense where their facilities are presently located within the City's existing public right of way. Per this agreement,however, the City would agree to assume the cost of the relocations where the PUD's existing facilities are sited within the PUD's easements adjacent to the 112th Street right of way. The City's cost of relocating the PUD's facilities within these easement areas would be$119, 648.58. The sources of funds for the relocation work and the other 112th Street project expenses include a state grant (TIB), Boeing mitigation funds, and other traffic mitigation funds. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the 112th Street utility relocation agreement between PUD No. 1 of Snohomish County and the City of Everett. 23
