That contract has now expired and we need to award a new contract. <br /> Sharable contracts are now available that permit government entities to aggregate their volumes to <br /> achieve maximum discounts. A Request for Information process was conducted to determine if a suitable <br /> contract had already been competitively bid and awarded by another public entity that meets Everett's needs, <br /> and if suitable contracts do exist,which one best meets our needs. Responses were received from Corporate <br /> Express, Office Depot, and Boise Cascade Office Products. Each respondent priced out our entire list of the <br /> office supply items we purchased in a recent 12 month period, and Corporate Express'prices were the lowest <br /> overall. <br /> The State of Washington Office of State Procurement competitively bid and awarded Contract 00203 <br /> to Corporate Express. <br /> We have an existing interlocal agreement with the Office of State Procurement that allows us to make <br /> purchases from their competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting bids of our own. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve purchase of office supplies from State of Washington contract 00203 awarded to Corporate <br /> Express. <br /> 32 <br />
